While I was just typing out the previous post my busy bee was playing on the other side of the desk. Crying made me finally look and this is what I found.... Apparently Aubrey's kennel is her new play house. The crying issue was she kept hitting her head every time she tried to sit in the chair she dragged in her new fort. Glad my purse, wallet, wedding invitee list, baseball hat and her sippy cup all made it in her fort as well.
Taylor is 100% obsessed with her new hot pink water shoes. When I try and put on her normal shoes she runs away and brings me back her water shoes. This is a battle that I have gladly surrendered. Since that is the case, she now sports her water shoes as everyday shoes! Strutting with her new pink shoes Aren't they beauties?
Anne-Leigh, this video is for you! Anne-Leigh has asked me to post a video where Taylor is talking to me. Well since she has a vocabulary of 4 words its not so easy to capture her speaking. Her new favorite word is HI! She does not say Hi one time she says it about 20 times in a row. So here she is telling me Hi. Its kind of hard to hear since I was far away and zoomed in, but you can get the idea...
Rich and John decided today to conquer the waves of Nags Head. Neither one had surfed before, but in Rich's eyes they were already intermediates; at least that is what he told the surf shop from which he rented the boards. To be honest, they actually exceeded my expectations, but since they spent most of the afternoon wiping out I am pretty sure that doesn't qualify as intermediate. They are both now complaining of being sore and walking around like 80 year olds. Guess the pain is worth it because they cant wait to go back out tomorrow.

All three of these pictures were taken this afternoon after nap time. We went outside so fast that swimsuits and, for Taylor, swimming diapers did not even make it on. Ohh well Is that not the cutest thing you have ever seen?!?!

This is a perfect picture to show you Taylor's attitude at the beach.....if she could say it she would be screaming MINE John and Rich thought William and Taylor would enjoy a boat ride. They were wrong. We are having the best time at the beach! Taylor and William have had a few minor fist fights and I think the score currently is 1 to 1. This time around they are really playing with each other and having a great time. Here are lots of pictures...

We took Taylor to the National Zoo on Sunday along with 1,000 other people who thought that the zoo was a good idea. We had a great time seeing all the animals and watching Taylor's reaction to them. Overall I would say it was a pretty educational day because I am pretty sure we all learned about 25 new languages. We are ready for our zoo adventure! Taylor and I checking out the fish and turtles in the aquarium. This was my favorite part because it was air conditioned. I am pretty sure this was Johns favorite animal at the zoo. The tigers and lions might have been, but they were really lame and slept the whole time. The Apes were definitely the most entertaining. Just in case you wanted another view! One of the perks of having a really tall dada. Taylor always has the best view in a crowd. Hello Elephant! Taylor enjoying the Zoo Safe to say the zoo tired our little girl out. It also tired me out if I could have fit in the bob I would have made John push me to the car.
We spent the the day of the 4th at the creek and then came home to watch fireworks at our house. The City of Fredericksburg puts on an impressive firework show and we are lucky enough that we can see them perfectly from our house. I felt like it was our own personal firework show besides the other 100 people piling into our neighborhood to watch them. Today we had a fun pool play date with Angela and Brayden. Snack time is definitely the one thing that brings Taylor and Brayden together. They do love their snacks.
