Winter Wonderland!!

We got some SERIOUS snow this weekend. It started snowing Friday evening about 5pm and didn't stop until last night. We went to Richmond Friday night to celebrate Christmas with the Worthingtons and got snowed in. If you want to get snowed in anywhere that is the house to get stuck in. 14 people spent the night Friday night. We spent Saturday playing in the snow, snuggling by the fire and enjoying a few daytime cocktails. Why not we couldnt go anywhere. We had heard that Fredericksburg got hit pretty hard by the snow storm. CNN was doing live feeds from Fredericksburg and the Today Show even talked about our small city. We were shocked when we got home and saw all the snow. We definitely got over 2 feet of snow. If my car was not in the driveway we would not have known where it was. The dogs are in heaven and cannot stop running and jumping through the snow. John and I got half of our driveway shoveled which is the worst job in America. We will pay big bucks to anyone who wants to finish the rest. I took a break to make a snow man. I really dont think I have ever made a snow man. Maybe that explains why mine looks a little funky. We put Taylor in her full snow suit...Thanks Clayton and Mary. It took John 10 minutes to get her fully dressed and she was out in the snow for maybe a minute. It was safe to say she doesnt like the snow and prefers to be sitting inside in the heat. Here are some pictures of our beautiful winter wonderland. We are going to have a white Christmas...or maybe muddy white Christmas by that point!!

View from our opened back door going to our deck.

Snow piled high on the hot tub. How I would love for the hot tub to disappear when the snow disappears

Guess we wont be grilling for awhile

The snow is literally almost up to my knees. You also might be wondering why Taylor is outside in the snow without any socks or shoes on??? I don't have any excuses. She rips her socks off faster then I can keep them on.

View from out front door. All you see is white.

The dogs have been busy helping us make a path

John getting ready to go work. Look how high the snow comes up on him

No more working time to play. I am building my snowman! His name is Frank

The final product

Taylor and Frank

She liked the snow much more when I was holding her and she was just looking at it. Go figure she doesn't like getting wet or being cold. Wonder where she gets that from???
